Meet some of our talented team
Alan Lowthorpe leads the Wesfarmers vision to deliver customer-centric change through advanced data and digital transformation. As the GM of the Advanced Analytics Centre, leading a broad team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers, Alan focuses on building strategy and partnerships to create value and growth. With three decades' global experience in retail strategy and deep expertise in management consulting, customer change, and business development, Alan is passionate about advancing corporate strategies through the smart use of data and digital. Alan holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Bristol.
Christine Balili is a data scientist working on personalization at scale at Wesfarmers. She has built and deployed machine learning models for customer lifetime value and recommender systems. Before joining the AAC, she was a data science consultant at McKinsey serving clients in mining, media, and commodities. Christine holds several professional certifications for AWS and Azure in AI/ML and Big Data. She plays an active role in the data science community and is passionate about supporting young talent grow their technical skills and careers.
With a decade's experience in designing, building, and executing programs of work in advanced analytics, Dominic is passionate about helping businesses drive value from data insights. Dominic plays an active role in identifying and scoping use cases to solve complex problems across the Wesfarmers group and is an expert at making sure outcomes are seamlessly integrated into business process and practice. Dominic has worked across financial services and retail and loves seeing businesses adopt a data-driven culture. Dominic was nominated in the top 25 IAPA analytics leaders for 2021, holds a Bachelor of Science and Statistics, and a Bachelor of Arts, Philosophy, Politics and Economics at University of Otago.
With extensive experience in customer analytics, Kerri is passionate about helping our organisation harness the value of customer-centric, data-driven decisions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, Kerri connects innovative analytical solutions with practical implementation plans to meet the strategic goals of our businesses. Throughout her career, Kerri has led customer personalisation and strategic analytics initiatives across various businesses in the retail and financial services sector. Kerri is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia and a top 25 IAPA leader for 2021.
An award-winning analytics leader with over two decades' experience in leadership across global organisations, Mario is dedicated to leveraging data and technology to improve busines performance. Mario works across the Wesfarmers group helping improve data and analytics capabilities with a focus on data and platform engineering solutions. Mario is a continuous learner with an MBA, Masters' degree in Management along with over 25 certifications across a broad range of data and analytics skills and topics, currently concentrating on Data Management.
Vivek Pandey is a senior member of the AAC responsible for building technology assets that support data integration and productionisation of data across the Wesfarmers group. Working closely with stakeholders, Vivek supports divisions to uplift their data capabilities. Passionate about Big Data and analytics, Vivek has mastered his skills by heavy lifting data to enable analytics across some of Australia's biggest brands. Vivek has deep expertise in project and data management and holds a Bachelor of Computer Science, an MBA in Information Systems and certifications in Big Data Analytics, the Hadoop Platform and Application Framework.

- Data science
Our data scientists translate strategic business challenges into advanced machine learning (ML) and AI solutions - from exploratory analysis, via phases of rapid experimentation through to scaling productionised solutions.
- Data Engineering & Platforms
Developing cloud solutions that enable the Wesfarmers Group to benefit from our data ecosystems to drive analytics solutions, our Data Engineering and Platforms team serves as the engine room for the AAC.
- Analytics Leads
Our analytics leads help identify business opportunities and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of use cases, whilst guiding how data and digital can support broader business transformation programs.
